Requirements
- Experience shipping production frontend code (React, React Native, SwiftUI or equivalent)
- Ability to move from concept to interactive prototype using AI
- Proven experience setting and defending a long-term product design vision
- Strong systems thinking capability
- Experience planning and running end-to-end user research
- Portfolio demonstrating shipped consumer product work on web and mobile
- Experience providing feedback and mentoring other designers
- Proficiency in user research methods (generative and evaluative)
- Strong communication skills for design rationale and cross-functional collaboration
Responsibilities
- Own a major customer journey or product experience end-to-end from information architecture to production code
- Set the 12-18 month design vision and earn organizational alignment
- Design intuitive and emotionally right experiences for parents
- Contribute to and evolve the Babylist design system
- Run user interviews and usability testing
- Write production frontend code for designed experiences
- Build and codify AI-native workflows
- Scale design democratization by enabling PMs and engineers
- Develop other designers through feedback and coaching
- Instrument work to track and improve product metrics
