Requirements
- 4+ years of leadership experience in the video game industry
- 5+ years in game design roles including senior or lead-level responsibilities
- Proven ability to define and execute creative vision across gameplay systems
- Experience in both prototyping and full production environments
- Strong understanding of game development workflows, including Unreal Engine
- Knowledge of technical constraints of modern game systems
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineering, art, production, and marketing
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira
- Strong documentation and presentation skills
- Demonstrated mentorship and leadership capabilities
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the overall creative vision of new game projects, ensuring alignment across gameplay, narrative, art direction, and player experience goals.
- Partner closely with executive leadership to translate strategic product goals into clear, actionable design direction and production-ready systems.
- Oversee gameplay progression, pacing, balance, and systems design to ensure a cohesive and engaging player experience from concept to release.
- Act as the central communication hub across design, engineering, art, sound, and production teams, ensuring clarity of expectations, priorities, and deliverables.
- Guide prototyping and iterative development, ensuring concepts are validated quickly and refined into production-ready gameplay features.
- Maintain ongoing visibility into project health, providing clear updates, documentation, and creative alignment to leadership and stakeholders.
