Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in HR Operations, People Operations, or HR Generalist roles
  • Strong understanding of U.S. employment laws and compliance processes
  • Familiarity with Canadian employment standards and provincial labor regulations
  • Experience supporting HRBPs or People Operations teams
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms (Workday strongly preferred)
  • Strong Excel and data management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Comfortable working independently within a remote and globally distributed environment

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for day-to-day HR-related inquiries from team members and managers across NORAM
  • Partner closely with NORAM HRBPs to support operational execution of regional people strategies
  • Manage employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, internal transfers, and promotions
  • Coordinate administrative support and tracking for Leave of Absence programs (FMLA, ADA, Canadian provincial leaves)
  • Maintain employee data within Workday and ensure compliance with U.S. and Canadian labor standards
  • Partner with Payroll and Benefits teams to ensure accurate processing of compensation and status changes
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives focused on scalability and automation
  • Coordinate quarterly NORAM coffee breaks and regional engagement activities
