Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience in Pricing, Strategic Finance, or Commercial Operations.
- Experience within B2B SaaS, a Utility, or a Renewable Energy technology company.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Experience with SQL for pulling historical performance data.
- Familiarity with utility business models, demand response, or distributed energy resources (DERs).
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong strategic intuition to translate technical roadmaps into commercial frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex data to executive and cross-functional audiences.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain sophisticated financial models for new products and complex multi-year utility contracts.
- Develop 'Value Stack' pricing models based on device-specific value streams like peak shedding.
- Analyze utility tariff structures and regulatory filings to ensure competitive pricing.
- Act as lead analyst for non-standard deals and volume-based pricing scenarios.
- Model commercial risks including sensitivity analysis on weather and grid event scenarios.
- Provide data-backed rationale for the Deal Desk and maintain pricing benchmarks.
- Conduct post-mortem analyses to compare deal performance against historical benchmarks.
- Maintain standard price book and discounting logic in Salesforce and BillingPlatform.
- Automate manual pricing spreadsheets into self-service tools for the Sales team.
