Requirements:
BA/BS or equivalent relevant experience. 5+ years experience selling to higher education institutions. 2 to 5 years of sales experience in IT and AV Network solutions. Experience with education end-users at director level, AV integrators, and national resellers. Experience in IT and AV Technologies (Interactive Displays, Large format displays, Small format displays, collaboration technologies, curriculum software, digital signage content). Experience with State, Local, and Education contracts and requests for proposal encouraged. Real world holistic selling experiences to Executive Leadership and on the ground decision makers a plus. Working level experience with campus architect office, contracted architects and AV, MEP, and Electrical design consultants a plus. Strong relationship builder. Outstanding communications skills. Solid business acumen and thought leadership in sales, marketing, operations, finance and account P&L. Experience in technical sales with excellent presentation skills. Ability to quickly understand technical concepts and explain them to audiences of varying technical expertise. Experience with SalesForce CRM a plus. Proficiency in MSOffice based automation tools (Excel, Outlook, etc). A desire to keep up to date with new technology and training. A desire to interface directly with customers, end users and OEM's. Ability to work independently with limited direction in a fast-paced environment. Availability and willingness to travel up to 75% to customer sites.
Responsibilities:
Implement strategies to expand LG's market share with higher education institutions in the Western US. Understand end-user business and map technical requirements to LG solutions. Create territory business plans focusing on end-users, resellers, and contract vehicles. Participate in go-to-market strategy design, tracking, and reporting. Engage with resellers and partners to increase education sales success. Present product solutions and conduct demos for higher education institutions. Become a product expert on LG's IT and AV hardware and software solutions. Manage regional marketing activities with Inside Sales and Marketing support. Manage pipeline, track trends, and provide corrective actions and reporting. Manage forecast accuracy and align with Product Management. Manage channel and LG inventory levels for optimization. Liaise with internal groups to optimize marketing dollars and activities. Represent LG Electronics at trade shows and speaking engagements. Develop and manage customer database in Salesforce and complete call reports. Manage administrative tasks with Inside Sales team support. Provide bi-weekly competitive updates on products, promotions, pricing, and services.
