Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, ideally with a concentration in advertising, marketing, communications, or journalism Advanced degree (PhD, MD, or PharmD) in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, and/or advanced degree in management, marketing, or business desirable/preferred A minimum of five (5) years of pharmaceutical/biotech marketing or medical affairs experience or medical communications agency experience Experience successfully managing and growing $1M+ pharma/healthcare accounts Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) PowerPoint design proficiency Thorough understanding of pharmaceutical/biotech marketing objectives, strategic and tactical activities, particularly in medical communications Demonstrated proficiency in acting as a trusted strategic/business advisor Proficiency in leading and managing employees, growing client relationships, and managing expanding business opportunities Ability to thrive and succeed in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and presentation skills Strong time management skills Ability to interact professionally with clients and thought leaders Ability to understand and interpret market dynamics, scientific information and clinical and preclinical data Ability to interpret and act on business metrics and financial information
Responsibilities:
Act as the day-to-day strategic advisor to clients Ensure work is strategically on-target and delivered within budget and timelines Generate revenue by leading and managing internal resources Understand client business challenges and strategic questions Help clients define and achieve business goals Prepare annual strategic/tactical plans Manage and strengthen client relationships Propose, sell, and oversee ideas and projects tied to client objectives Offer unsolicited ideas to increase client brand and company activity effectiveness Contribute to company profitability through good management Serve as an advocate and strong representative for the company Identify and cultivate new business opportunities Report to company leadership on client relationships Initiate and oversee company activities for clients Manage day-to-day client communication on strategy and planning Become a partner to clients, taking ownership and accountability Manage clients' budget and team efficiency Build up team by celebrating successes, learning from mistakes, and sharing information Mentor, train, and coach team members Stay abreast of developments in clients' industries Hone marketing and strategy expertise Network and connect to grow influence
