Associate IP Counsel

JD (or equivalent) with active bar membership. Minimum 5 years of legal experience in life sciences IP (diagnostics, medical device, CRO, biotech, or pharma). Strong analytical skills and ability to deliver practical, business-focused legal advice. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Collaborate with teams to identify patentable inventions and guide patent filings. Oversee outside counsel for patent portfolio lifecycle. Support freedom-to-operate analyses and advise on IP risks. Draft, review, and negotiate research collaboration and license agreements. Provide training and guidance on IP matters. Contribute to patent program build-out and process improvements. Provide overflow support on commercial contracts.
