Principal Product Manager - Canada

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or equivalent work experience and education. Master's degree is a plus. Experience in ML/AI, development, or technical roles is preferred. Experience in Taxation and Accounting technology is preferred. Customer obsession and empathy. Bias for action and results. Ability to fail fast and embrace rapid iteration. Proven ability to influence product strategy. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Experienced in cross-functional collaboration with Engineering and Product Design. Technical acumen in AI-powered solutions (preferred but not mandatory). Deep understanding of accounting workflows and tax preparation processes (preferred but not mandatory).

Influence Ascend’s AI strategy. Develop and communicate product vision based on customer needs. Develop a 12-month prioritized roadmap with Engineering. Own the product lifecycle from ideation to launch. Identify and drive large-scale transformation opportunities. Develop and execute product strategies to enhance operating margins. Align and manage dependencies between product areas. Provide clear input to Engineering for smooth product development. Ensure Engineering priorities align with business objectives. Develop ML/LLM hypotheses based on customer research and industry understanding. Partner with AI Engineering to define and prioritize ML/LLM experiments. Improve product launch mechanisms and track key metrics post-launch. Communicate outcomes clearly and adjust priorities based on results.
