Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with staff-level or equivalent scope.
- Demonstrated background in scaling distributed systems and designing microservices.
- Strong proficiency with gRPC, protobuf, RESTful APIs, and contract-driven development.
- Deep understanding of OLAP and OLTP relational databases.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and managing file-driven data pipelines.
- Expertise in testing disciplines including unit, integration, TDD, and end-to-end approaches.
- Experience in on-call rotations and incident response.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for design and documentation.
- Familiarity with AWS services, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Python/Java.
Responsibilities
- Champion long-term technical excellence by envisioning approaches to complex processes and translating them into measurable initiatives.
- Architect and implement scalable systems for ingesting, processing, and maintaining massive data volumes.
- Design and build integrations with third-party APIs and file-driven pipelines (CSV/SFTP/Airflow).
- Lead schema design and data flow architecture for core platform components.
- Drive incident investigations from root cause analysis through to permanent resolution.
- Mentor and develop engineers across the team while managing cross-functional relationships with product and business stakeholders.
