Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Deep expertise in TypeScript across the stack (Node and modern React).
- Strong experience with backend framework and ORM (Express, MikroORM, or comparable).
- Experience with relational database design, query optimization, and migration management (PostgreSQL).
- Proven track record of designing and evolving well-architected systems and owning complex components.
- Experience with RESTful API design, authentication flows, and multi-tenant SaaS patterns.
- Experience with containerized deployments (Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes).
- Advanced AI proficiency, specifically working with agents and building effective AI-assisted workflows.
- Track record of setting technical direction and mentoring engineers.
- Minimum of Associate’s Degree (Bachelor’s preferred).
Responsibilities
- Serve as the engineering anchor for the platform, defining technical direction, patterns, and quality.
- Own architecture and long-range technical strategy, aligning with product leadership on scope and delivery.
- Set and uphold engineering standards including coding, testing, and review practices.
- Drive API design and design data models, migrations, and schema-evolution strategies.
- Contribute production code across the stack using TypeScript, Express, MikroORM, React, and MUI.
- Delegate features to autonomous agents and improve agentic development infrastructure and guardrails.
- Mentor team members through code review, pairing, and design discussions to lift overall engineering performance.
