Requirements
- JD from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in any US jurisdiction.
- 4–9 years of experience in law firm and/or in-house roles.
- Proven generalist range covering commercial, compliance, employment, and regulatory work.
- Direct experience building or operating AI-enabled legal workflows.
- Experience with legal ops infrastructure such as CLM systems or intake automation.
- Strong communication skills with non-legal stakeholders.
- Self-directed and ownership-oriented work style.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a legal generalist across commercial agreements, compliance, employment, and regulatory projects.
- Manage commercial contracting processes, including templates, playbooks, and CLM workflows.
- Build and implement AI-enabled legal workflows to automate manual processes.
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements while improving contract operation scalability.
- Act as a legal partner to cross-functional teams including Sales, Operations, Finance, Product, and People.
- Develop and execute compliance programs from scoping to completion.
- Support the CLO on high-stakes matters such as outside counsel management, litigation support, and strategic initiatives.
