Requirements

  • 3–5 years of campaign, government, labor, nonprofit, or political organizing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the Central Texas political landscape, including elected officials, advocacy organizations, and community leaders.
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced campaign environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as campaign needs require.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and political tools (e.g., NGP, VAN).
  • Access to reliable transportation and willingness to travel frequently throughout Central Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the campaign's political and coalition strategy across Central Texas.
  • Build, maintain, and deepen relationships with elected officials, community leaders, advocacy organizations, labor partners, faith leaders, and key regional stakeholders.
  • Identify, recruit, and cultivate endorsers, validators, and surrogate speakers throughout the region.
  • Develop and execute political events, coalition roundtables, stakeholder briefings, community meetings, and candidate engagements.
  • Supervise and mentor the Central Texas Political Associate while managing regional priorities and workflow.
  • Staff candidate meetings, political events, and surrogate engagements as needed.
  • Prepare briefing materials, political memos, stakeholder profiles, and strategic recommendations for campaign leadership.
  • Track political outreach, endorsements, stakeholder engagement, and follow-up using campaign databases and internal systems.
  • Identify emerging political opportunities, partnerships, and community concerns that strengthen the campaign's presence across Central Texas.
  • Represent the campaign at political, civic, and community events throughout the region.
