Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in an operations role.
- Experience with revenue cycle, medical billing, or healthcare is a plus.
- Patient-first communicator capable of de-escalating billing concerns.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
- Energized by technology and automation with an interest in AI-powered tools.
- Medical coding background (CPC/CCS credentialed) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient-facing and internal billing questions including resolving denials, investigating patient responsibility, and processing insurance coverage verifications.
- Work claims end-to-end with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure a smooth billing experience for patients and providers.
- Support efforts to streamline existing processes by providing suggestions for automation or new tools, optimizing individual steps, and maintaining consistent execution.
- Support ad-hoc operations projects including payer-specific billing efforts and new service line expansions.
- Develop and maintain SOPs for operations workflows, flagging process gaps and proactively suggesting improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to communicate billing updates, escalate complex cases, and gather information to resolve issues.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to test, evaluate, and optimize AI-powered billing tools and automation.
