Requirements
- 3-4 years of finance, accounting, operations, or project management experience (5-7 years for Lead).
- Proficiency in Google Sheets, including advanced functions and financial data analysis.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience managing high-volume tasks and balancing day-to-day responsibilities with ad-hoc projects.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts accessibly.
- Experience with period-end close, audits, or core finance workstreams (Lead).
- Familiarity with risk-based approaches to finance, including risk mitigation (Lead).
- Experience with payroll and benefits administration (Lead).
- Experience preparing or reviewing IRS Form 990s and managing external audits (Lead).
- Strong desire to learn new tools, processes, and systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage the shared finance inbox, processing invoices and addressing finance-related inquiries.
- Support day-to-day accounts payable processes and vendor paperwork collection.
- Review staff expenses for accuracy, policy compliance, and IRS accountable plan rules.
- Contribute to period-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and balance sheet analysis.
- Onboard contractors and optimize onboarding processes.
- Maintain finance documentation, policies, and procedures.
- Implement new finance tools and systems.
- Manage international entity build-out and multi-entity consolidation.
- Strengthen internal control frameworks and support tax/audit compliance.
- Support payroll and benefits administration.
