Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 2–5 years of accounting experience (real estate industry preferred).
- Knowledge of property accounting principles.
- Experience with Yardi Voyager or comparable property accounting software.
- Experience booking equity entries and intercompany transactions.
- Understanding of entity hierarchies and accounting treatment across real estate ownership structures.
- Comfortable with fixed asset accounting and depreciation methodologies.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, financial modeling).
- Ability to manage multiple properties in a high-volume environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries including accruals, amortization, and allocations.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Record rental income and tenant billings, and reconcile CAM and tenant recoveries.
- Monitor rent collections, AR aging, and assist with delinquency reporting.
- Prepare property-level financial statements and perform budget-to-actual variance analysis.
