Requirements
- 15+ years of professional software development experience, including significant senior leadership or complex product delivery roles.
- 5+ years of experience managing technical teams, including senior engineers or senior individual contributors.
- Track record of shipping polished, high-quality products.
- Technical fluency with AI-enabled products (e.g., LLMs, RAG workflows, agents, automation).
- Experience delivering complex applications across desktop, web, and mobile using frameworks like Tauri, Electron, or React Native.
- Experience with enterprise software, security, privacy compliance, and customer-controlled deployment models.
- Practical experience with local-first, offline-capable, self-hosted, or hybrid architectures.
- Strong ability to translate ambiguous product direction into clear delivery plans and ownership models.
- Experience improving engineering practices related to CI/CD, technical planning, and managing technical debt.
- Excellent communication skills for technical prioritization and stakeholder management.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering execution by clarifying priorities, ownership, timelines, risks, dependencies, and quality expectations.
- Manage engineers and contractors, including coaching, feedback, performance support, and team development.
- Contribute code and review technical work while staying closely engaged with the codebase.
- Partner with technical and product leadership to translate strategy into coordinated engineering plans.
- Establish robust planning, review, and release practices to improve predictability and reduce bottlenecks.
- Maintain high standards for code quality, testing, security, and release readiness.
- Collaborate across design and enterprise-facing teams to balance speed, user experience, and long-term sustainability.
