Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
- 2+ years of experience building and operating production AI systems
- Proven experience designing distributed, SaaS, cloud-native, multi-tenant platforms
- Experience implementing AI guardrails, governance controls, and safety mechanisms
- Strong understanding of AI system tradeoffs such as latency, cost, and accuracy
- Extensive experience building and operating production systems on AWS
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform)
- Strong English language communication and collaboration skills
- Experience mentoring engineers and influencing architectural decisions
- Ability to operate in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the technical architecture for Caseware’s AI platform, establishing standards for secure and scalable AI capabilities.
- Design, build, and operate AI systems including LLMs, retrieval pipelines, agentic workflows, and multi-agent systems.
- Implement evaluation, governance, auditability, and traceability frameworks for explainable and compliant AI.
- Drive reliability, observability, monitoring, and incident response practices across AI systems in production.
- Mentor engineers, conduct architecture reviews, and lead proof-of-concept initiatives.
- Partner with Product, Security, and Engineering teams to deliver business value.
