Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- 2+ years building and operating production AI systems.
- Proven experience designing distributed, SaaS, cloud-native, multi-tenant platforms at scale.
- Experience implementing AI guardrails, governance controls, and safety mechanisms.
- Extensive experience building and operating production systems on AWS.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
- Strong English language communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience mentoring engineers and influencing architectural decisions.
- Deep understanding of AI system tradeoffs including latency, cost, accuracy, and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the technical architecture for Caseware’s AI platform, establishing architectural standards and design principles.
- Design, build, and operate AI systems powered by LLMs, retrieval pipelines, and agentic workflows.
- Design and implement evaluation, governance, and traceability frameworks for AI systems.
- Lead proof-of-concepts and influence technical direction through architecture reviews and design discussions.
- Drive reliability, observability, and incident response practices across AI systems.
- Mentor engineers across teams and contribute to raising overall engineering maturity.
