Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience including serving as an architect or technical design authority for enterprise-grade software.
- Demonstrated experience translating architecture into working software via foundational components and frameworks.
- Hands-on engineering capability with experience committing production code in event processing, data access, integrations, or observability.
- Proven ability to define architecture patterns across APIs, data, security, and operations.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, event-driven systems, distributed-system tradeoffs, and integration design.
- Experience establishing non-functional requirements, automated testing standards, and technical release criteria.
- At least 6 months of hands-on experience using AI-powered IDEs or coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, Kiro, Cursor, GitHub Copilot).
- Ability to operate in a spec-first, AI-first development methodology.
- Experience balancing priorities across multiple product squads.
- Proficiency in Java, Node.js, Python, or React is a plus.
- Experience with cloud-hosted enterprise multi-tenant SaaS applications (AWS preferred) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Define system and reference architectures that align squad solutions with the broader Nymbus platform.
- Design and commit production code for foundational technical components including event processing, data access, integration frameworks, and observability utilities.
- Review product specifications and implementations for scalability, maintainability, and cross-squad consistency.
- Define automated testing standards and non-functional requirements for performance, security, and resiliency.
- Establish deployment patterns, observability standards, and operational runbooks for production readiness.
- Ensure security, data privacy, and tenant isolation in all solutions, including AI-enabled capabilities.
- Collaborate with Builder and Shipper partners to ensure end-to-end outcome ownership and release readiness.
