Requirements
- BS or advanced degree in computer science or applicable experience.
- 12-15 years of software development experience on server-side applications.
- Deep experience with API servers, third-party integrations, and data processing.
- Expertise in a compiled language such as Go, Java, or Kotlin.
- Proficiency with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL, including schema design and SQL tuning.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing scalable APIs.
- Solid understanding of design patterns, database design, and testing best practices.
- Working knowledge of GraphQL, CI/CD pipelines, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and accurately forecast delivery milestones.
- High level of professional discipline and ability to work effectively in a team-first environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain back-end architecture for SmithRx product features using languages like Golang, Node, and GraphQL.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and technical leads to translate requirements into high-quality, scalable software services.
- Provide technical design documentation, scope, and risk estimates for system and feature builds.
- Apply best practices in software development, design patterns, testing, and automation.
- Leverage AWS technologies, including Lambda and Fargate, for batch processing and job management.
- Perform production triage, root cause analysis, and execute mitigation plans.
- Coach and mentor junior team members through design and code reviews.
- Work with senior leadership to define quarterly technical roadmaps.
