- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- An advanced understanding of GAAP is a plus, as is familiarity with crypto accounting practices and standards.
- 7+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with a minimum of 3 years in a management-level role (experience in crypto, fintech, or technology sector preferred).
- Proficiency in accounting software (Sage Intacct a plus); experience with blockchain-based financial tools is highly desirable.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a strategic mindset and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and adapt to evolving industry regulations.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Oversee all financial transactions, including crypto assets, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Coordinate with external auditors for year-end audits and regulatory reporting.
- Manage and optimize accounting processes related to cryptocurrency transactions, including digital asset reconciliation.
- Own accounts receivable and general ledger functions, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping.
- Design and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to provide insights on financial performance and strategic initiatives.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process, integrating metrics specific to the crypto industry.
- Serve as a primary liaison between finance and other departments, providing guidance on crypto asset accounting and compliance.
- Partner with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to emerging regulatory frameworks and policies.
