Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in a medical office, provider, billing, or collections role.
- Proficiency with computers, the internet, and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with multiple payor portals is considered a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
- Understanding of patient confidentiality and data privacy standards.
- Ability to perform data entry with high accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Obtain initial and subsequent pre-authorizations for services with all payers.
- Perform insurance verification and ensure accurate entry of demographic and eligibility information.
- Process authorization appeals and follow up on insurance determinations.
- Schedule product shipments, oxygen concentrator set-ups, and deliveries.
- Perform medical coding and billing for third-party and direct claims.
- Maintain accurate data in GoCanvas, third-party billing, and in-house ERP systems.
- Train new hires and develop training materials.
- Provide customer service and dispatch tasks to field teammates.
