Requirements
- Deep expertise in software security architecture and engineering within large, distributed systems.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Kotlin, Python, TypeScript, Java, or Go.
- Proven track record of technical leadership driving company-wide or cross-organizational initiatives.
- Experience building and deploying security automation, CI/CD integrations, and vulnerability management pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with cloud environments including AWS, OCI, or GCP.
- Expertise in infrastructure and container security tools like Kubernetes and Terraform.
- Deep understanding of application security principles: authentication, authorization, data protection, and OWASP Top 10.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to balance risk reduction with engineering velocity.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to influence senior leaders.
- Passion for mentoring and cultivating a security-first engineering culture.
Responsibilities
- Set the long-term technical direction for application security, establishing scalable, developer-friendly frameworks and principles.
- Lead the design and implementation of high-impact, reusable frameworks for authentication, authorization, secrets management, and data protection.
- Architect and automate security controls within development and deployment pipelines to enable proactive vulnerability management.
- Partner with senior engineering and platform leaders to influence system design, threat models, and architecture decisions.
- Drive strategic cross-functional initiatives across Platform, Infrastructure, Risk, and Compliance teams.
- Mentor and guide engineers across the organization to raise the bar for secure software design and technical rigor.
- Lead complex investigations and incident response efforts to ensure continuous improvement of security systems.
