Requirements
- PhD in a science or healthcare field.
- Early- to mid-career professional experience in oncology (research, clinical, or translational work).
- Proven research capabilities using medical literature databases such as PubMed and Google Scholar.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a service-oriented mindset.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to serve as a trusted advisor to clients.
- Resourceful and efficient in making rapid decisions amidst ambiguity and deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively both individually and collaboratively with peers and experts.
Responsibilities
- Participate in client calls alongside clinicians to communicate research findings and support shared decision-making.
- Analyze patient medical records, including tracking lab values, symptoms, medication histories, and clinical outcomes.
- Identify, review, and analyze clinical literature, summarizing studies in a patient-friendly manner.
- Interpret molecular diagnostics and laboratory tests to provide insights for patient care.
- Research and prioritize treatment options, including current standards of care and investigational approaches.
- Identify and evaluate potential clinical trials through database searching and outreach to trial sites.
- Create patient education documents such as reports, presentations, and charts to explain clinical history and treatment options.
