Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of leading teams.
- Deep professional expertise in Node.js and TypeScript.
- Experience scaling Nest.js backends and React.js frontends.
- Hands-on experience managing containerized workloads with Kubernetes and ArgoCD.
- Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL (query optimization and schema design).
- Strong proficiency in Kafka (event-driven architecture).
- Experience within Platform, Infrastructure, or Developer Experience (DevEx) teams.
- Proven ability to refactor legacy code into scalable architectures.
- Strong mentorship history with associate and intermediate engineers.
- Ability to navigate high-ambiguity environments and define technical roadmaps.
- Willingness to travel to Orlando, FL at least twice per year.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular interviews with engineering teams to identify and prioritize workflow pain points.
- Design and implement reusable patterns using Nest.js, React.js, and TypeScript.
- Optimize PostgreSQL queries and Kafka producer/consumer patterns for systemic performance.
- Manage and evolve Kubernetes and ArgoCD configurations for automated deployments.
- Lead complex cross-team technical challenges and re-architect shared libraries.
- Refactor complex or legacy codebases into maintainable, testable modules.
- Mentor and coach engineers to improve technical skills and architecture understanding.
- Prototype and roll out internal tools to improve CI/CD, local development, and observability.
- Facilitate adoption of new architectural shifts through workshops and 1:1 support.
