Job Details

Significant experience building production software with a focus on frontend systems.
Strong full-stack engineering fundamentals.
Deep expertise in React and TypeScript.
Experience with React Native or mobile development.
Hands-on experience working with modern design systems and translating design decisions into architecture.
Proficiency with Figma.
Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude).
Experience connecting design systems to prototyping tools, AI coding environments, or engineering pipelines.
Ability to operate autonomously, own a technical roadmap, and influence cross-functional prioritization.
Familiarity with Storybook, style-dictionary, or design token pipelines (nice to have).
Experience with animation and interaction frameworks like Framer Motion, Rive, or Lottie (nice to have).

Own the long-term technical direction of Roo's frontend platform, including the systems, tooling, and architecture that power development across web and mobile.
Partner with Product and Design to evolve our design system as a foundational platform.
Make the design system effortless to consume by engineers, designers, and AI agents through thoughtful integrations, documentation, and tooling.
Lead platform initiatives like framework upgrades, React Native modernization, Expo adoption, and shared library evolution.
Own the migration of legacy components to our v2 design system, including the tooling and documentation for team-wide adoption.
Establish patterns that let engineers ship new pages and flows quickly.
Improve developer experience through shared tooling, automation, documentation, templates, and workflows to increase velocity.
Identify and eliminate friction points in the development process systematically.
