Requirements
- 2+ years of experience working on large-scale code bases for web services, applications, or other software components.
- 2+ years of experience with the Java programming stack.
- Experience in building and architecting scalable systems running in the Oracle ecosystem.
- Proficiency in software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Experience communicating with peers, technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements and describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy.
- Experience in AWS or other cloud technologies.
- Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems.
- Knowledge of Oracle and either PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
Responsibilities
- Build new cloud-based solutions to accelerate migrations to the cloud.
- Solve difficult and complex migration problems and propose innovative migration solutions.
- Create technical strategies and deliver with limited guidance.
- Focus on designing and coding architecture that yields significant performance, availability, and business value.
- Understand team architecture in detail and make technical trade-offs between short-term needs and long-term business goals.
- Influence team and cross-team software architecture.
- Mentor junior software engineers in all aspects of their engineering duties.
