Requirements
- 4-6 years of professional experience in communications, marketing, or related fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English, marketing, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Mastery of audience-centered storytelling and narrative development.
- Proficiency with email marketing platforms, CRM systems, and digital publishing tools.
- Experience producing audience-specific communications such as newsletters and campaign emails.
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple high-stakes deadlines.
- Ability to translate complex organizational priorities into clear, accessible, and motivating narratives.
- Experience analyzing engagement metrics to identify communication gaps and solutions.
- Willingness to travel to attend twice annual Common App Retreat.
- Must reside in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver compelling, audience-centered messaging to counselors, members, and students.
- Plan, write, and edit newsletters, announcements, and other communications.
- Ensure messaging consistency across multiple platforms aligned with brand voice.
- Analyze engagement metrics and audience feedback to optimize content strategies.
- Manage multiple high-stakes deadlines and coordinate with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide peer-review support to ensure messaging alignment across the department.
