- Doctorate degree (PharmD or PhD) required, or BA/BS with minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience.
- 2-4 years of experience in medical communications, healthcare agency, or medical education.
- Strong interest in managed markets and a commitment to life-long learning.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to accurately translate complex scientific concepts for managed care audiences.
- Ability to prioritize projects, manage competing client priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to meet the demands of a dynamic environment.
- Ability to travel occasionally.
- Must be able to work standard Central Time Zone (CST) business hours.
Responsibilities
- Serve as medical point person on assigned accounts.
- Develop, write, and translate complex scientific data for a broad audience across therapeutic areas.
- Create strategic medical content including slide presentations, advisory boards, strategy guides, monographs, and training resources.
- Ensure project quality and outcomes by demonstrating technical expertise of assigned therapeutic category and managed care areas.
- Collaborate with account teams to refine content according to strategic imperatives.
- Communicate medical content with internal teams and pharmaceutical clients.
- Attend medical, legal, and regulatory review meetings.
- Participate in project kick-off, status, and internal brainstorm/review meetings.
- Mentor junior level writers.
