Requirements
- Advanced degree in engineering (power systems, mechanical, electrical, civil), economics, computer science, or mathematics.
- 4+ years of relevant professional experience in utility regulation, utility strategy, energy advocacy, policy, or law.
- Demonstrated track record in a project-based environment with significant professional work products.
- Excellent time management, organization, entrepreneurship, and drive.
- Familiarity with the electricity industry, including trends and the stakeholder landscape.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across diverse teams.
- Proficiency in utility resource planning practices or regulatory processes.
- Knowledge of large load integration, distributed energy resources, or demand flexibility preferred.
- Experience facilitating meetings or stakeholder processes preferred.
- Experience with capacity expansion and production cost modeling preferred.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert on integrated resource planning, demand flexibility, large loads, or regulatory processes.
- Independently scope and execute multiple projects across research, technical assistance, and workshop design.
- Lead the development of research, insights, and recommendations by synthesizing quantitative and qualitative data.
- Design and facilitate workshops, meetings, and convenings with electricity sector stakeholders.
- Create clear and compelling presentations and written materials for partners.
- Utilize project management techniques to ensure high-quality and timely execution of deliverables.
- Mentor and motivate project team members throughout the project life cycle.
