Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in an Architect, Staff, or senior-IC role.
- Hands-on experience reading, writing, and reviewing production code.
- Experience designing and operating distributed, event-driven systems at scale.
- Expertise in Domain-Driven Design (strategic and tactical patterns).
- Familiarity with decentralized architectural governance (e.g., ADRs, RFCs).
- Experience working in regulated fintech, payments, or banking environments.
- Strong background in security-first architecture, threat modeling, and defense-in-depth.
- Deep understanding of modern AI/ML, LLMs, and applied AI in production.
- Solid knowledge of cloud-native architecture, microservices, and 12-factor apps.
- Proficiency in CI/CD, automated testing (unit, service, end-to-end), and SDLC practices.
- Ability to work in a CET-compatible timezone with a dedicated workspace and high-speed internet.
Responsibilities
- Own and facilitate the Architectural Advice Forum (AAF) to drive decentralized decision-making.
- Build production-grade Proofs of Concept (POCs) to validate architectural ideas and de-risk new patterns.
- Partner with the CTO on AI strategy, including evaluating tooling and prototyping solutions.
- Define and uphold engineering quality bars across backend, web, and mobile engineering.
- Embed Security-First Architecture and threat-modelling across all products.
- Champion Domain-Driven Design and Event-Driven Architecture.
- Collaborate with SRE teams on reliability, observability, and platform evolution.
- Coach and mentor engineers to raise the organization's architectural bar.
- Surface and address systemic technical risks and cross-team dependencies.
