Requirements
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in environmental, natural, or physical sciences; engineering; GHG emissions accounting; or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience.
- Technical and regulatory knowledge of carbon capture and storage (CCS).
- Understanding of GHG emissions/carbon accounting principles and verification/auditing standards.
- Proficiency in SharePoint, Outlook, and full MS Office suite.
- Strong writing, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
- Ability to work independently on multiple projects and adhere to deadlines.
- Availability to travel for short-term assignments.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and complex GHG emissions reduction and removal project reviews independently and accurately.
- Provide technical support to external stakeholders regarding project implementation, verification, and review.
- Develop and maintain institutional systems for record keeping and technological tracking.
- Attend site visits and perform project audits.
- Lead methodology development and updates for Carbon Capture and Storage projects.
- Mentor junior staff on technical and policy matters.
- Represent the organization externally at working groups and conferences.
