Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant work in developer tooling, platform engineering, or developer productivity.
- Deep expertise in TypeScript/Node.js and Python ecosystems, including package management, build systems, tooling, and debugging complex development environments.
- Experience with monorepo management tools such as Nx or similar technologies.
- Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining containerized development environments using devcontainers or comparable solutions.
- Practical experience evaluating and integrating AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, OpenAI, Cursor, Codex, or similar platforms, with a focus on governance and secure adoption.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills, with the ability to influence teams and drive cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience with AI workflow automation, Model Context Protocol (MCP), AI security, secure execution environments, cloud-based development platforms, or remote development environments is considered an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy and evolution of AI-powered developer experience, enabling engineering teams to safely and effectively integrate AI throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Evaluate, implement, and govern AI development tools, including code generation, intelligent assistants, and agent-based workflows, while establishing standards and best practices.
- Optimize developer productivity by improving build performance, testing workflows, linting, type checking, task orchestration, and overall engineering efficiency across TypeScript/Node.js and Python environments.
- Own and enhance local and cloud-based development environments, ensuring consistency, security, scalability, and reproducibility across projects.
- Maintain and improve shared developer libraries, internal frameworks, configuration systems, documentation, and onboarding resources.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, software development lifecycle improvements, dependency management, observability, and platform reliability initiatives.
- Mentor engineers, gather continuous feedback, influence engineering practices, and drive long-term improvements across the development organization.
