Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with focus on developer tooling, platform engineering, or developer productivity.
- Deep familiarity with TypeScript/Node and Python ecosystems, package management, and build tooling.
- Experience with monorepo tooling such as Nx.
- Hands-on experience designing, configuring, and improving devcontainer-based development environments.
- Practical experience evaluating and integrating AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, OpenAI, Cursor, or Codex.
- Strong listening, communication, and leadership skills to gather feedback and mentor engineers.
- Bonus: Experience with agentic workflows, Model Context Protocol (MCP), or AI workflow automation.
- Bonus: Knowledge of AI security, secure execution environments, sandboxing, and secrets management.
- Bonus: Experience with cloud-based or remote development environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead the evolution of AI Developer Experience to safely and effectively leverage AI throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Drive the evaluation, adoption, and governance of AI development tooling, ensuring practical, secure, and measurable implementations.
- Measure and improve developer action speed across TypeScript/Node and Python codebases, including build times, linting, and task orchestration.
- Own devcontainer strategy for local and cloud-based environments to ensure scalable, reproducible development.
- Maintain and improve local testing frameworks and developer-facing test infrastructure.
- Manage shared internal libraries and configuration systems to ensure they are well-documented, versioned, and adoptable.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, SDLC definition, language upgrade cycles, onboarding, and observability.
