Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in safety and training, preferably within the transportation industry.
  • Must have experience hiring drivers across different states in the US.
  • Solid understanding of the trucking industry and driver licensing requirements.
  • Expertise in HOS (Hours of Service) and DOT regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Previous experience in driver training, recruitment, and safety compliance is an asset.
  • Three years of truck driving experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for drivers, maintaining a candidate pool.
  • Source, screen, and interview driver candidates using various recruiting resources.
  • Ensure compliance with Department of Transportation and OSHA regulations.
  • Conduct driver background checks, road tests, and training sessions.
  • Review and document facility safety inspections and safety meetings.
  • Investigate vehicle accidents and employee injuries while preparing incident reports.
  • Develop and present accident and injury prevention programs.
