Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience in a production SaaS environment.
- Strong proficiency in Go, including designing and building public APIs and distributed backend services.
- Experience designing and operating asynchronous, event-driven, or queue-based distributed systems at scale.
- Strong product mindset with empathy for customers and a focus on delivering high-quality user experiences.
- Ability to operate autonomously, drive initiatives forward, and influence technical direction across teams.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a growth mindset and a bias toward continuous improvement.
- Understanding of security-focused development practices, threat modeling, and building systems that handle sensitive data.
- Experience working with containerized services and Kubernetes in production environments.
- Experience working with transactional email systems at scale, including ESPs and SMTP relays such as Amazon SES and SendGrid.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable notification systems for administrators across email and integration channels.
- Partner closely with product, design, and data to refine hypotheses, define measurable outcomes, and interpret results.
- Balance rapid iteration with long-term architectural health and security.
- Set an example in code reviews by evaluating code quality, architectural alignment, performance, security, and adherence to best practices.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical design discussions, and pairing.
- See your work directly influence measurable customer and business outcomes.
