Requirements
- Up to 5 years of experience with invoicing, AR, and collections in a B2B SaaS or subscription business.
- Deep understanding of recurring subscription billing, including tiered and usage-based models.
- Comfortable with contract amendments, proration, and early renewals.
- Strong customer-facing communication skills, including handling collections calls.
- Obsessive attention to quality, detail, and audit-ready output.
- Proficiency as a spreadsheet power user for reconciling data across CRM, billing, and finance systems.
- Demonstrated AI-native working style with concrete examples of using automation in work.
- Experience with billing/subscription and quote-to-cash systems (e.g., Stripe, Chargebee, Hyperline, Solvimon) preferred.
- Familiarity with CRMs (e.g., Salesforce) and ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Netsuite, SAP, Rillet, Campfire) preferred.
- Experience with vendor portals like Coupa or SAP Ariba preferred.
- Knowledge of operational VAT/indirect tax processes preferred.
- Experience in a fast-paced tech startup finance function preferred.
Responsibilities
- Convert signed contracts into subscriptions and process amendments like pro-rated expansions, renewals, and terminations.
- Issue invoices accurately and on time for recurring and one-time charges.
- Validate signed contracts against CRM and billing data to ensure high-quality data for month-end close.
- Manage collections, including dunning, follow-up, and escalation of delinquent accounts.
- Record and match customer payments and support accounting on unapplied cash and bad-debt cases.
- Serve as the primary contact for invoice and subscription inquiries from customers.
- Onboard and maintain n8n as a supplier in customer vendor management and procurement systems.
- Handle operational indirect-tax tasks including VAT ID collection and sales tax monitoring.
- Provide billing-mechanics support for deal shaping and invoicing terms.
