Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in payments operations at a high-volume merchant or commercial role at a PSP/acquirer.
  • Hands-on experience operating a Stripe account at a scale of $1M+/month processed.
  • Working knowledge of at least one PSP or orchestration platform.
  • Experience opening new merchant accounts in high-risk verticals such as subscriptions or digital goods.
  • Strong commercial negotiation skills for reading rate cards and managing payment partner terms.
  • Excellent spreadsheet skills (Excel/Google Sheets) including pivots, lookups, and reconciliation logic.
  • Strict CRM discipline and experience maintaining an accurate partner pipeline.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously in a remote, async environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own daily payment operations across all PSPs for all platforms including settlement monitoring, payout reconciliation, refund flow oversight, and exception handling.
  • Build and maintain operational dashboards showing per-platform, per-processor performance metrics.
  • Manage refund operations across the portfolio, including bulk refund handling and policy enforcement.
  • Maintain a live pipeline of payment partners including PSPs, acquirers, and fraud tools.
  • Source and qualify new partners through outreach and drive initial commercial conversations.
  • Lead merchant account applications and underwriting processes across multiple entities.
  • Negotiate commercial terms including processing rates, reserves, and chargeback fees.
