Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, military science, business, or a related field, or equivalent military experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, defense operations, acquisition, or program management within the U.S. defense ecosystem.
  • Experience working with Department of Defense organizations, intelligence communities, space programs, or command-and-control environments.
  • Strong understanding of defense architectures including open systems, distributed systems, tactical networking, and edge computing.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships across government agencies and defense industry partners.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business and mission value.
  • Willingness to travel domestically for customer meetings, industry events, and defense engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic business development campaigns supporting integrated missile defense and JADC2 priorities.
  • Identify, shape, and qualify opportunities across defense organizations, government agencies, military branches, and strategic industry partners.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government stakeholders, defense primes, system integrators, and technology partners.
  • Position advanced software technologies within mission-critical environments such as distributed sensing, battle management, and tactical edge computing.
  • Support capture efforts through opportunity qualification, strategy development, customer engagement, white papers, and proposal development.
  • Provide market intelligence on defense priorities, acquisition strategies, and emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering and product teams to align customer requirements with technology roadmaps.
