Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, military science, business, or related field (military experience considered in lieu of degree).
  • 5+ years of business development, operational, acquisition, or program experience within the U.S. defense ecosystem.
  • Experience working with DoD, IC, Space, missile defense, or command-and-control organizations.
  • Understanding of modern defense system architectures including open systems, distributed systems, and tactical networking.
  • Proven relationship-building experience across government and industry.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to travel domestically for customer engagement and industry events.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic business development campaigns aligned with Golden Dome-related initiatives, integrated missile defense, and JADC2 priorities.
  • Identify and shape opportunities across MDA, Space Force, Army, Navy, Air Force, Combatant Commands, and defense innovation organizations.
  • Build relationships with government stakeholders, defense primes, integrators, and strategic technology partners.
  • Position RTI Connext DDS and related technologies within distributed sensing, battle management, and tactical edge computing frameworks.
  • Support capture activities including strategy development, white papers, customer engagement, and proposal support.
  • Represent RTI at industry events, technical interchange meetings, and defense conferences.
  • Provide market intelligence regarding emerging defense priorities and acquisition strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, product, and leadership teams to align customer needs with technology roadmaps.
