Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Dairy Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 8+ years of experience in food safety, diagnostics, dairy, or a related industry.
- Proven success in business development, strategic account management, sales leadership, or segment ownership roles.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex enterprise accounts and multi-location customer relationships.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to develop and execute segment-level growth strategies.
- Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce, MS Dynamics, or similar tools for pipeline management and forecasting.
- Advanced consultative selling skills with the ability to communicate value and influence executive stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management capabilities.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to use market insights and performance data to guide decisions.
- High level of ownership, accountability, independence, and strategic thinking.
- Willingness to travel approximately 60–75% to support customer engagements, market development activities, and industry events.
Responsibilities
- Own the overall Dairy segment growth strategy, including market prioritization, account segmentation, revenue objectives, and long-term expansion plans.
- Identify and activate new growth opportunities through enterprise accounts, channel development, emerging applications, and strategic partnerships.
- Develop multi-year commercial plans aligned with organizational objectives and provide leadership visibility into performance, pipeline health, and forecasts.
- Manage and expand strategic customer accounts by acting as an executive relationship owner and trusted business partner.
- Lead executive-level customer engagements, business reviews, and strategic discussions to demonstrate value and identify future opportunities.
- Lead complex sales cycles from opportunity creation through negotiation and close, ensuring disciplined forecasting and pipeline management.
- Partner with sales, marketing, technical services, and operations teams to deliver coordinated segment strategies and customer programs.
- Serve as a market expert by monitoring customer needs, regulatory trends, competitive dynamics, and industry developments.
