Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field (equivalent work experience accepted).
  • Minimum of 5 years providing technical support via phone, remote desktop, and case management systems.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Understanding of networking protocols: TCP/IP, HTTP/S, S/FTP, SMTP, and AS2.
  • Experience with distributed computing, including networked clustering, cloud services, and load balancing.
  • Proficiency in operating systems administration (AIX, RHEL, Windows, RHOCP).
  • Experience with database systems including Oracle, MS SQL Server, DB2, and ODBC/JDBC protocols.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or other virtualization technology.
  • Proficiency in using generative AI tools like Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT for workflows.
  • Experience supporting, developing, or managing Sterling B2B Integrator or Sterling File Gateway is highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Provide world-class technical support over the phone, remote desktop connections, and through case management systems.
  • Investigate, analyze, and solve complex problems occurring on a wide range of platforms, software systems, and databases.
  • Determine if issues stem from product code, third-party libraries, user-developed code, or platform infrastructure.
  • Contribute to comprehensive internal and external knowledge base documentation.
  • Debug and provide recommended solutions and tools to address product issues and enhancements.
  • Participate in periodic weekend and late shifts for time zone coverage and on-call support.
