Experience: 10+ years

Requirements

Minimum 10+ years of experience within a mainframe environment in a large enterprise.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Knowledge of z/OS, including installation and maintenance using SMP/E.
Advanced knowledge of TSO/ISPF, SDSF, and JCL.
Advanced knowledge of Unix System Services (USS) and USS file system management/security.
Experience installing software within Unix System Services (USS).
Understanding of PARMLIB configuration and JES2 customization.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to lead problem solving and coordinate multi-disciplinary groups.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work well as a team member and provide guidance to junior staff.

Responsibilities

Install, test, and implement new z/OS operating systems and system software.
Perform maintenance, debugging, monitoring, and tuning of systems software.
Provide thought leadership on automation strategy, best practices, tools, and processes.
Serve as a subject matter expert for key projects and initiatives.
Handle incident, change, and problem management tasks.
Perform configuration, customization, and setup of system parameters.
Participate in on-call schedules.
Liaise with vendors and cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues.
