Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a high-growth SaaS or technology company.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- CPA certification (strongly preferred); MBA (a plus).
- Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and revenue recognition (ASC 606).
- Proven experience in financial reporting, audit management, and compliance.
- Demonstrated track record of using AI and modern automation tools to improve accounting efficiency.
- Experience selecting, implementing, and managing accounting systems and integrations.
- Strong people leadership skills with experience building and mentoring teams.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate financial data for non-finance partners.
- Ability to thrive as a hands-on, self-directed operator in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead accounting operations and manage a team of 1–3 accounting professionals.
- Drive a fast, automated monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process.
- Modernize AP, AR, and expense management workflows using AI and automation.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow.
- Own revenue recognition (ASC 606) and research technical accounting positions.
- Manage audit readiness and serve as the primary contact for external auditors.
- Oversee payroll, tax filings, treasury, cash management, and insurance programs.
- Partner with finance, legal, and functional leaders to support strategic decision-making.
