Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; MBA preferred.
  • CPA certification strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership, controller, or comparable finance management role.
  • Experience within healthcare, behavioral health, multi-site organizations, or other complex multi-entity environments is strongly preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, consolidations, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP, accounting, and financial planning systems.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Sage, NetSuite, Zoho, or similar financial systems is preferred.
  • Experience using dashboards, business intelligence tools, or data visualization platforms to communicate financial performance.
  • Strong leadership, business partnering, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and continuous improvement capabilities.
  • Ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and support strategic organizational initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted financial advisor to executive leadership by delivering timely financial insights and recommendations that support strategic decision-making.
  • Lead the monthly close process, consolidated financial reporting, variance analysis, and management reporting across multiple entities.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, tax obligations, audit standards, and internal control frameworks.
  • Oversee annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, financial planning, and scenario analysis to support organizational objectives.
  • Partner with operational leaders to evaluate service line profitability, capacity planning, cost drivers, and business growth opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial service providers.
  • Collaborate with analytics teams to ensure financial dashboards, reports, and performance metrics are accurate and actionable.
  • Oversee operational finance functions, including insurance, vendor spending analysis, lease administration, and financial risk management.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members across accounting, accounts payable, and purchasing functions.
  • Support strategic initiatives including board reporting, investor reporting, mergers and acquisitions due diligence, process improvements, and expansion into new markets.
