Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; MBA preferred.
- CPA certification strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership, controller, or comparable finance management role.
- Experience within healthcare, behavioral health, multi-site organizations, or other complex multi-entity environments is strongly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, consolidations, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP, accounting, and financial planning systems.
- Familiarity with platforms such as Sage, NetSuite, Zoho, or similar financial systems is preferred.
- Experience using dashboards, business intelligence tools, or data visualization platforms to communicate financial performance.
- Strong leadership, business partnering, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and continuous improvement capabilities.
- Ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and support strategic organizational initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted financial advisor to executive leadership by delivering timely financial insights and recommendations that support strategic decision-making.
- Lead the monthly close process, consolidated financial reporting, variance analysis, and management reporting across multiple entities.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, tax obligations, audit standards, and internal control frameworks.
- Oversee annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, financial planning, and scenario analysis to support organizational objectives.
- Partner with operational leaders to evaluate service line profitability, capacity planning, cost drivers, and business growth opportunities.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial service providers.
- Collaborate with analytics teams to ensure financial dashboards, reports, and performance metrics are accurate and actionable.
- Oversee operational finance functions, including insurance, vendor spending analysis, lease administration, and financial risk management.
- Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members across accounting, accounts payable, and purchasing functions.
- Support strategic initiatives including board reporting, investor reporting, mergers and acquisitions due diligence, process improvements, and expansion into new markets.
