Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in the publishing industry.
- Network of connections in literary/talent agencies, traditional publishing houses, or influencer/content creator publishing.
- Experience as an acquisitions editor, literary agent, or in sales/business development.
- Demonstrated ability to execute strategic plans that deliver data-driven results.
- Exceptional communication skills, including public speaking and presenting to large groups.
- Ability to represent the brand positively in press and at industry events.
- Strong editorial judgment for assessing quality, innovation, and presentation in crowdfunding campaigns.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Build and strengthen relationships with creators, publishers, and authors to support impactful projects.
- Track creator interactions via CRM and ensure adherence to service-level agreements.
- Own relationships with top-tier creators to retain business and support campaign launches.
- Develop and refine category-specific educational resources for creators.
- Represent Kickstarter at industry events and through press appearances.
- Collaborate with internal teams to meet revenue, retention, and growth targets.
- Recruit beta participants and gather market intelligence on industry trends to inform product development.
