Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant experience in developer tools, cloud infrastructure, or high-stakes product design.
- Exceptional craft and eye for detail in typography, spacing, motion, and interaction feedback.
- Strong information architecture skills to synthesize complex objects and relationships.
- Proven ability to design cohesive end-to-end user journeys rather than isolated screens.
- Fluency in developer language including services, CI/CD, and deployment workflows.
- Experience designing for failure states, error handling, and stressful user scenarios.
- Systems fluency with experience contributing to and extending design systems.
- Ability to prioritize ruthlessly and maintain product judgment under fast launch velocity.
- Strong communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration with product and engineering.
- Ability to contribute to design critiques and share problem spaces collaboratively.
Responsibilities
- Make multi-service systems legible through clear visualization of service connections and dependencies.
- Design system-level observability tools including logs, metrics, and event tracking across environments.
- Design cross-service deployment, rollback, and preview models to ensure safe scaling.
- Design all product states including unglamorous moments like build errors and empty states.
- Create a first-run experience that enables successful initial deployment for new users.
- Contribute to the design-led discovery track and platform roadmap through weekly critique sessions.
