Requirements
- Years of production Kubernetes experience, including cluster maintenance and debugging.
- Proficiency with GitOps, observability, and automated deployment workflows.
- Strong Linux systems knowledge.
- Ability to automate manual processes.
- Understanding of relational and key-value databases.
- Practical networking knowledge for production troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical trade-offs.
- Experience with Go or Python is a plus.
- Experience with self-hosted databases and advanced networking is a plus.
- Experience with Rancher for on-prem Kubernetes is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Run and evolve Kubernetes landscape using Amazon EKS and on-prem clusters via Rancher.
- Automate deployment and scaling processes to minimize manual intervention.
- Develop observability tools including metrics, dashboards, and alerting systems.
- Analyze infrastructure-level incidents and implement long-term fixes.
- Design abstractions for Backend and Data Engineering teams to enable self-service deployment.
- Determine strategies for cloud migration versus infrastructure automation.
