Requirements
- Strong backend or systems engineering background with experience operating production services.
- Proven experience designing and delivering shared platform or infrastructure components.
- Deep understanding of production ownership, including monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
- Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, specifically async workflows, idempotency, and failure design.
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs or production failure modes like latency, context windows, and cost control.
- Security mindset regarding AI systems, including prompt injection, PII handling, and data leakage prevention.
- Strong programming proficiency in either a JVM-based language (e.g., Kotlin) or Python.
- Experience with LLMOps, data retrieval, prompt engineering, and production model evaluation.
- Clear communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate core GenAI platform components including LLM routing gateway, vector search, RAG infrastructure, and agentic workflow orchestration.
- Develop AI observability and evaluation tooling to trace LLM calls, detect drift, and track costs.
- Ensure production-quality delivery of platform features from design through rollout, monitoring, and incident response.
- Contribute to resilient system design, including failure handling, rate limiting, retries, and safe change management.
- Build internal SDKs, templates, and guardrails to enable product engineers to ship AI features safely.
- Collaborate with Applied AI engineers and product teams to turn platform needs into practical, scalable solutions.
- Support team growth through code reviews, pairing, and documentation.
