Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in an SRE, Operations, or DevOps role.
  • Experience with shell and scripting languages (Python, Go, Bash, Ruby), with a primary focus on Python.
  • Proficiency with configuration management tools, specifically Puppet.
  • Experience designing and managing infrastructure security for large, diverse fleets.
  • Experience with technical response during security incidents.
  • Experience with package management on Linux systems, specifically Debian.
  • Strong Linux system-level troubleshooting skills.
  • Demonstrated history of automating tasks, identifying process gaps, and finding automation opportunities.
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as part of a globally distributed team across multiple time zones.
  • Experience leading incident response and post-incident review rituals.
  • Willingness to travel 1-2 times a year for in-person events.

Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day operational/DevOps tasks on public-facing infrastructure, including deployment, maintenance, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Implement and utilize configuration management and deployment tools, specifically Puppet and Kubernetes.
  • Lead continuous improvement by automating the installation, configuration, and maintenance of services.
  • Assist product teams with architectural design of new services to ensure scalability.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, including incident response, diagnosis, and follow-up on system outages or alerts.
  • Collaborate with a global, cross-functional team in an asynchronous environment.
  • Mentor peers in areas of technical and operational strength.
